Elegant Expeditions uses only four and five-star hotels, unless we’re doing a more adventurous program that calls for us using a rustic lodge, perhaps staying in a castle or a villa, or a private mansion that is out of the rating scale. Whatever the lodging it will either be drop-dead luxurious or more charming than A PRIVATE European villa.

Each Elegant Expeditions program is not only well-staffed with fun-loving personality-dripping, well-informed, highly-educated guides, but you’ll be escorted by Trip Directors experienced and trained by Mayer Motivations, Inc., who have formerly been escorting private corporate tours. They will get to know you personally, make sure everyone is reaching their intended objective (we hope it's to have fun), and to oversee all the details of the trip.

Elegant Expeditions is really focused on folks in the Baby Boomer age group (born somewhere between 1943 and 1960 give or take a little). We’re not really into being part of those on and off the bus all the time comfortable shoe tours.

Now, we have nothing against comfortable shoes, but sometimes on our trips we want to put on our Gucci, Prada and Armani, looking good for a night out!
